We require team leaders for our care home in Wheldrake. These are full time position and shift work will be required it may also be necessary to work bank holidays.
Duties will include
Supervise r care assistants whilst assisting service users in their personal care, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to in relation to practice, non discrimination, and the promotion of equal opportunities. Completing induction training with new members of staff and making sure that all care staff are working within the essential standards set by the Care Quality Commission Inspection Unit. Assist the nursing staff during admission procedures. Taking personal details, recording base line observations and completing related documents where appropriate. Receive daily instructions from the Nurse in Charge regarding specific tasks to be carried out during the shift and cascading these to junior staff and other members of the team within the home.

Minimum of three years experience in a similar care setting. Experience of meeting the needs of older people through assessment, care planning with review and evaluation skills.
Will need to hold an NVQ level 2 and hold or be working towards an NVQ level 3 in health and social care.
The post holder must have good communication skills, be organised and have the ability to supervise junior staff showing empathy and understanding of the client group needs. He/she must be honest, reliable and have a good standard of appearance.
