I was quite relieved when I came here as it took a great deal of pressure off my family. They felt that they had to look after me and placing me in care was a failure on their part.
However, I did not see it that way. There is only so much a person can do and I know that they have done everything in their power for me.
I genuinely love it here. I feel like I’m living in a fancy hotel with 24 hour room service. The carers are professional and very understanding. My room is lovely and reminds me of my old home. In the summer we can sit outside in the beautiful gardens or even in the conservatory if the weather is bad.
Even better, I can have my favourite dessert… sticky toffee pudding. I have so many
friends here that I feel as though I never left home.
