It's very hard to come to terms with the fact that you are no longer able to manage on your own. I didn't want to lose my independence and I was scared I wouldn't fit in with the other residents. However those fears were soon forgotten when I took advantage of their offer to have a trial day. I settled in quickly with my fellow residents and the staff went out of their way to make me feel this was my home.

What is especially comforting, is the fact that I have held on to my dignity and independence. The carers are very aware of what it must be like to be in my position and they give me my space when I need it.

All aspects of the care are first-class. I couldn't have chosen a better place to live.
